About Us
Nicki & Paul Howell are the founders of Howlers Hall Doggie Day Care, Hotel and Spa.
'We have both had a variety of dogs since we were small and our home has never felt complete without them. We are both definitely 'dog' people".

Our Experience
​
With decades of dog ownership and training between them, Nicki & Paul are experienced in many dog breeds. Paul has extensive experience with German Shepherd dogs, and Nicki has had St. Bernards, Gun Dogs and Spaniels. The current canine of choice at Howlers Hall is the wonderful terrier, specifically two Mini Schnauzer brothers, Max and Monty. They are so friendly and happy, absolutely loving all people, kids included. Our postman says they are the friendliest dogs on his round!

Our success keeping and training a wide variety of animals including dogs, horses, sheep, birds and even an iguana, comes down to a natural psychology based approach. Initially learnt via horsemanship techniques, the theory is simple and the animals love it: make the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult. We nurture using approach and retreat, and increasing phases with an instant release confirms positive responses. The animals appreciate and are balanced by this system.
A Natural Ambition
The start of a new adventure, Howlers Hall Doggie Day Care and Spa is an initiative founded in doing what we love and what we know we are good at. Paul has the patience of a saint and his leash walking training of dogs is incredible. Nicki's psychology based training experience in many varieties of animal, is a testament to the bonds and relationships possible between animal and human. Opening our home for those owners that want just this set up was a natural choice for us and we look forward to serving you well.
